Top 5 Webtoons to Read This Summer!

Are you tired of reading all the time? Do you crave a good action story? Then maybe you should try out the Webtoon app that hosts hundreds of webcomics that are lengthy, plot-driven, and have beautiful art. (Disclaimer: this post is not sponsored)

1- Homesick by Ms. Freaky

Genre: Thriller, Apocalypse

An amazing thriller webtoon, this is the story of a zombie apocalypse. Featuring a female lead with amnesia, Rayne is an intriguing girl with a great outfit and some even greater secrets. Throughout the story, will Rayne be able to regain her memories and find out who she once was??

I admit this webtoon doesn’t have many chapters, but I really like the author’s artstyle and I always feel the intense need to keep scrolling and find out what happens next.

2. GremoryLand by A. Rasen

Genre: Horror, Suspense

This webtoon was truly horrifying. It’s already completed and the actions of the characters as well as the horrors of being trapped in the theme park all left their mark on me. I guess I’m just lucky I rarely get nightmares… If you’re ready for a chilling story that slowly unfolds in the worst way possible, then Gremoryland is for you.

3. LUMINE by Emma Krogell

I really loved this webtoon with its supernatural aesthetic, witches, and overall amazing plot. Lumine is such a nice kid, and the story of his parents and what their identities are is the most intriguing part of the early story. Would definitely recommend it to those who want to see characters with multifaceted personalities and great visual design!

4  Rebirth by Michi

A man with heart problems receives the power to manipulate his own blood (after what exactly?) you guessed it, it’s another story about surviving the apocalypse! A man who neglected his eldest son in favor of his spoiled younger child ends up waking up many years in the past, right before the apocalypse begins.

Filled with regret over the actions of his past and armed with the knowledge of the future, Noah Collins aims to do things better this time around. But what happens when he realizes he isn’t the only one who traveled back to the past.

5 Nevermore by Kate Flynn and Kit Trace

Genre: Mysterious, Supernatural

I LOVE this art style! The characters are alluring, and their names are Lenore and Annabel Lee… I’m sensing that Edgar Allan Poe’s poems will have something to do with the inspiration for the story.

Lenore and Annabel Lee are two girls with opposite hair colors, pitted together in a sweet-looking romance. But before they can fall in love, the two must face the obstacles of Nevermore Academy? And what’s with those weird wisps who said it was the wrong choice to pass through the gates?
